The Northville Township Firefighters believe that serving our community goes far beyond emergency response. It means stepping up to support our neighbors in everyday struggles—especially when it comes to food insecurity.
We are proud to share that the Northville Township Firefighters Charity Fund and Local 3961 partnered as co‑donors to contribute a total of $3,000 in October 2025 in support of Michigan food banks. This donation will help provide meals and essential resources to families across our state who are facing hunger and hardship.
Food insecurity affects more than 1.4 million Michigan residents, including nearly 300,000 children. These numbers are staggering—and they remind us why initiatives like this are so important. No family should have to choose between putting food on the table and meeting other basic needs.
The Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union (MPFFU) has once again demonstrated its commitment to our communities by leading this statewide effort. Locals from across Michigan are stepping up, answering the call, and showing that firefighters stand strong—not just during emergencies, but in moments when compassion and solidarity matter most.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the MPFFU for organizing and leading this initiative, and to all the locals who have already joined the cause. Your commitment makes a real difference in the lives of Michigan families.
As firefighters and union members, we believe supporting one another extends beyond the firehouse walls. We proudly encourage our union brothers and sisters throughout the state to continue standing together—because when we unite, we have the power to create meaningful change.
Together, we are fighting hunger and strengthening our communities—one donation, one act of kindness, and one family at a time.
