Supporting a Great Cause at the 3rd Annual Hakkers Open Charity Golf Outing

The Northville Township Firefighters Charity Fund was proud to attend and support the 3rd Annual Hakkers Open Charity Golf Outing this past weekend in St. Clair Shores. Organized by the family of Local 3961’s newest member, Brendon Pochmara, the event brought together community members, supporters, and first responders for a day of fellowship, fundraising, and giving back.

We are honored to support an outing that makes such a meaningful impact. What makes this event especially remarkable is that 100% of the proceeds benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly toward helping those who have sacrificed so much in service to others.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was established to honor the legacy of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who gave his life on September 11, 2001. Since its founding, the organization has provided mortgage-free homes to the families of fallen first responders and military service members, built specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and offered support to homeless veterans across the country.

We are grateful to have been part of an event dedicated to such an important mission and extend our thanks to the Pochmara family and everyone involved in making the outing a success. Their commitment to supporting our nation’s heroes reflects the values of service, sacrifice, and community that we all share.
